Wool – High External Ground Levels, Drainage & Damp Remediation

Property: Swallowshide, Wool

Persistent lower-level damp at this property was linked to the external ground conditions around the building. EX10 improved the situation by excavating alongside the affected walls to create better separation and drainage, incorporating membrane and washed shingle to help manage moisture around the base of the property. External masonry protection was also introduced where appropriate, while internally affected wall finishes were removed and reinstated using a more suitable breathable plaster system. This project shows why external ground levels and internal wall finishes often need to be addressed together when dealing with recurring damp.

Services demonstrated: High ground level remediation • External drainage • Damp treatment • Membrane installation • Washed shingle • Masonry protection • Breathable plastering • Internal wall remediation
