Westbourne – Damp, Condensation & Sub-Floor Ventilation Improvements

This property presented with a combination of damp symptoms, condensation and ventilation issues rather than one obvious single source. EX10 investigated the relationship between internal humidity, sub-floor airflow, chimney ventilation, cavity conditions and external drainage before deciding on the correct remedial approach. Additional telescopic sub-floor vents were installed, chimney ventilation was improved and targeted internal and external works were carried out where required. The project demonstrates the benefit of dealing with each contributing factor individually instead of applying one standard damp treatment throughout the property.
