New Milton – Persistent Damp & Whole-Property Moisture Investigation

This property had previously undergone damp treatment but continued to experience moisture-related problems. EX10 assessed the building as a whole and identified several potential contributing factors including chimney ventilation, external render defects, drainage, sub-floor airflow and exposed masonry. Remedial works included improving chimney ventilation, fitting suitable chimney caps, carrying out render repairs, improving external drainage, introducing additional sub-floor ventilation and completing targeted internal repairs. This project demonstrates how persistent damp can often have several different causes working together rather than one single source.
